Four Herb Burgers

By • Dec 10th, 2007 • Category: Burger Recipes

These Four Herb burgers make a change from the usual cheeseburger recipes. You can experiment with your own choice of herbs and don’t forget to sprinkle some fresh herbs over the melted cheese.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh chopped basil
  • 1/2 tablespoon of fresh chopped chives
  • 1/2 tablespoon of fresh chopped rosemary
  • 1/2 tablespoon of fresh chopped thyme
  • 1 tablespoons of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 egg, beaten
  • salt and pepper
  • your choice of cheese, sliced
  • 4 burger buns

  • Combine the beef, all the fresh herbs, lemon juice, bread crumbs, egg and salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well. Make sure the herbs are not all clumped in once place in the beef, sprinkle them all over the beef gradually.
  • Shape the beef mixture into 4 patties and grill or broil each burger for 5 minutes on each side or until the meat is fully cooked. Before the burgers are cooked, add a slice of cheese to each burger and allow it to melt.
  • Serve in toasted burger buns with a sprinkle of fresh herbs on each burger.

Suggested burger topping: try lettuce and coleslaw. More burger toppings.
