By admin • Dec 9th, 2007 • Category: Burger RecipesThese chipotle Burgers are full of heat from the smoked chilli and cumin. If you like JalapeƱos then give these burgers a try for something different.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 3 chipotle chillis, from can
- 2 tablespoons of adobo sauce
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- hot sauce for topping
Method:
- Combine the beef with the rest of the ingredients and mix well. If you have time, allow the mixture to rest for 1-3 hours in the refrigerator. This will ensure the heat from the chipotle chilis is evenly spread throughout the meat.
- Shape the beef mixture into 4 patties and Broil/Grill/Fry each burger for 4 minutes on each side or until the meat is fully cooked.
- Serve on toasted burger buns with lots of hot sauce and your choice of melted cheese.
Suggested burger topping: try refried beans, guacamole and sour cream. More burger toppings.
