Ingredients:
- 12 fresh habanero chilies
- 1 mango, peeled
- 1 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon curry powder
- 1 tablespoon ground cumin
- salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Throw everything into a food processor and blend to a smooth paste.
- Now transfer this to a saucepan and simmer on a high heat for 5 minutes. Cool and transfer to jars.
Habanero Hot Sauce Tip: try this without cooking it for an extra-hot hot sauce.

I am now making my own chilli sauce with the habanero and scotch bonnett peppers I grew. How long will the sauce last?

I found the cumin to be a bit intense – might do well to add a teaspoon instead. But good recipe!
