Making Heinz 57 Sauce

Heinz 57 sauce goes great with steaks and burgers and making Heinz 57 sauce is easier than you think!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Heinz ketchup
  • 3/4 cup fresh raisins
  • 4 oz apple sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Wishbone Italian Salad Dressing
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 pinches black pepper

Method:

  • Throw everything into a blender and blend until everything is combined.
  • Have a taste and add any extra ingredients depending on what you think is best.

Heinz 57 Sauce Tip: try adding chunks of fresh tomato after blending.

    This was a very good sauce. Was it Heinz 57? No. But nonetheless very nice flavor. We added in a bit more salt and pepper as well as a little cayenne pepper to spice it up.

    Or, you can just mix ketchup and mustard together.
