Pineapple Bacon Burgers

This recipe has a juicy beef patty with an even juicer pineapple slice all wrapped in 2 slices of crisp bacon. Makes 4 Pineapple Bacon Burgers.

Ingredients:

• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 medium onion, minced
• salt and pepper to taste
• 4 slices of pineapple, from a can
• 8 slices of bacon
• 4 burger buns

Method:

• Combine the ground beef and minced onion in a bowl and season with salt and pepper.
• Shape the mixture into 4 patties and a put 1 slice of pineapple on each patty. Now wrap 2 slices of bacon around the each patty and pineapple slice and secure in place with a toothpick.
• Grill them over a medium/low heat and cover. Cook until the meat is fully cooked.

Suggested burger topping: try the classic lettuce, tomatoes and relish. More burger toppings.
