This burger recipe uses ground turkey but adds a hint of beef with the seasonings. Yummy! Turf Burgers

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey
1 (1 ounce) package dry onion soup mix
2 tablespoons steak sauce
4 hamburger buns

Directions:

  • In a bowl, mix the turkey, soup mix and steak sauce. Combine until well blended.
  • Shape in to 4 – 5 patties and place on a greased baking sheet in the oven.

Cook:

  •  Cook for 8 – 10 minutes on each side. If grilling, cook 4 – 6 minutes on each side.
  • Serve on a bun with your favorite condiments.

The onion soup and steak mix makes you think your eating an awesome steak burger, but you’re not. It’s an awesome turkey burger and so easy to make!

Here’s an all-American version of a sweet and sour (OK, not really sour) hamburger made to tempt any taste bud.

Pineapple Bacon Burger
Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup sweet or spicy barbecue sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can sliced pineapple
  • 8 slices bacon

Directions:

  • In a large bowl, combine hamburger and barbecue sauce. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Shape mixture into 4 large patties.
  • Place a slice of pineapple on top of each and then layer 2 bacon strips crosswise over each burger. Use a toothpick to hold in place.
  •  

  • To cook, place burgers on grill over medium heat until cooked through.

Serve your sweet and juicy pineapple bacon burger on buns with more barbecue sauce, lettuce or even soy sauce if you desire.

How do you get a burger to retain a lot of juice but not be raw? Easy…with one secret ingredient.
A Juicy Ranch Burger
Actually, it’s probably more than one ingredient, but we won’t get too technical. Here’s the recipe for creating juicy ranch burgers at your own grill.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet of ranch powdered dressing mix

Method:

  • Mix the seasoning packet in to the hamburger meat with a spoon or your hands until thoroughly combined.
  • Shape in to desired size of patties and flip on the grill. Cook to desired state and remove from the grill.
  • On your bun, use lettuce, tomato slices and a dab of mixed salad dressing if desired.  Eat and enjoy.
  • The secret? The seasoning is made to hold the liquid (when made with milk) to be dressing consistency. The juice from the meat has the same effect, meaning the juice stays inside with the ranch seasoning.

    These burgers are delicious and easy!

    Ingredients:

    • 1 egg
    • pinch of salt
    • black pepper to taste
    • 1lb ground beef
    • 3 tbs fine dry bread crumbs
    • 4 slices of American cheese
    • 4 burger buns

    Method:

    • This couldn’t be any simpler. Whisk together the egg, salt and black pepper in a large bowl. In a separate bowl mix the breadcrumbs into the beef using a fork or your hands. Then simply mix the two mixtures together and shape into 4 burgers using your hands.
    • As with most burger recipes you have the choice of grilling or shallow frying your burgers. The cooking time depends on the thickness but for an average size burger it should take 5-7 minutes on each side.
    • Add one cheese slice as soon as you take your burgers off the heat to allow each slice to melt. Serve with your own choice of topping.

    • 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro

    Method:

    Ingredients:

    • 1 pound ground beef
    • 1 jalapeño pepper, minced

    • 4 soft corn tortillas
    • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
    • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    Method:

    • Combine the ground beef, jalapeño, 1/4 cup of the salsa and salt and pepper in a large bowl and mix well. Make sure you wash your hands after handling the jalapeño peppers.
    • Shape into 4 patties that are a little thinner and wider than usual so they fit into the tortillas better. Broil or grill them for 4 minutes each side or until the meat is cooked through.
    • Heat 2 tortillas at a time in a microwave for 20 seconds on full power. Arrange each of the burgers on a warm tortilla and top with avocado slices, shredded cheese, and the rest of the salsa.

    Ingredients:

    • 1 lb ground beef
    • 1 egg yolk
    • 3 fl oz. coca cola
    • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
    • 1/4 cup French salad dressing
    • 2 tbs grated Parmesan cheese

    Method:

    • In a medium bowl, mix together the egg yolk, half of the coca-cola, bread crumbs, half of of the French dressing and Parmesan cheese. Crumble in the ground beef, and mix well. Form into 4 balls, and pat into 3/4 inch patties.
    • Pour the remaining cola and dressing into a small bowl, and mix well.
    • Grill/fry the burgers for about 3 minutes per side. Brush with the dressing and cola, then cook for another 3-4 minutes each side, basting occasionally.
    • Serve with burger buns and cheese slices.

    Suggested burger topping: sliced pickle and of course, a can of cola. More burger toppings.
