Perfect Turkey Burgers
By admin • Dec 11th, 2007 • Category: Burger RecipesTurkey Burgers have a reputation for being dry and flavorless, so in this turkey burger recipe we have chosen the perfect additional ingredients to give extra flavor and extra moisture.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of french herbed bread crumbs
- 1/2 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup of fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon of dijon mustard
- salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil, for cooking
Perfect Turkey Burger Recipe Method:
- Simply combine all of the ingredients with the ground turkey in a large bowl and mix well. If the mixture is too sticky or sloppy then add some more bread crumbs until it becomes firmer.
- Shape into 4 patties with you hands and lightly coat them with the olive oil, this will prevent them from sticking during cooking.
- Grill/Fry the burgers until cooked through, usually 4-5 minutes each side.
- These are best served on any crusty bread with a layer of garlic mayo and your choice of salad.
Turkey Burger Recipe Tip: for more flavor try adding 1/2 tablespoon of ground ginger to the recipe.

These were very good! I had to add wayyyyy more bread crumbs so it probably ended up different but that may have been my fault. Good though

Very good recipe. We used 2tblsp of Jamaican curry spice, 2 garlic cloves minced, shredded cheese, and used ground chicken as opposed to turkey in our version. Delicious. We’ll definitely be using this recipe in the near future.

I made these last night.. they are awesome! For half the recipe, I left out onion and jalapeno, b/c my husband doesn’t like these flavors. Mine were the full recipe and they were great. Printed out and added to my recipes.

I made these today and they were excellent.
Though, a half onion seemed a bit much, so I reduced that a bit, and they turned out perfectly.
I served them with a slice of cheddar cheese and ketchup (yes, how plain).
I recommend this recipe for turkey burgers that have flavor!!

Re Turkey burger recipe: Is it possibe that the ingredient of bread crumbs was meant to be FRESH herbed bread crumbs? Sorry, I never came across FRENCH herbed bread crumbs. That is what I used as it made better sense.
Thanks
