Twin Pepper Burgers
By admin • Dec 13th, 2007 • Category: Burger RecipesIf you like hot peppers then try out these Twin Pepper Burgers which have jalapeño peppers in the beef patty and are served with a home made Chipotle pepper mayo.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce, finely chopped
- 3 fresh jalapeño peppers, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1.5 teaspoons of Cajun or Creole seasoning
- 1/2 a small onion, finely chopped
- salt and pepper to taste
- 5 tablespoons of mayo
- 4 burger buns
Method:
- To make the pepper mayo, combine the mayonnaise and chopped chipotle pepper in a small bowl and mix with a fork. Set aside until ready to serve.
- Combine the beef with the rest of the ingredients and mix well. If you have time, allow the mixture to rest for 1-3 hours in the refrigerator.
- Shape the beef mixture into 4 patties and Broil/Grill/Fry each burger for 4 minutes on each side or until the meat is fully cooked.
- Serve on toasted burger buns with the pepper mayo spread underneath and on top of each patty.
Suggested burger topping: perfect with a hot jalapeño relish. More burger toppings.
